For the second year, the entrants to the Charm Poetry Competition have helped proved our contention that poetry can be warm, whimsical, witty, and word-playful.
We would like to congratulate the six poets placed in the highly commended category, as well as the three prize-winners - Vijaya Venkatesan for ‘Boustrophedon (or, how not to write a Terza rima)’, Siobhán Flynn for ‘Tall Old Ladies’, and Kelly Davis for 'Shall I compare thee to a summer's day'.
Finally, we would like to thank our judge, Polly Walshe, who was a delight to work with.
You can find out more about the prize-winning poets, and the three prize-winning poems here, and Polly's competition report here.
We will be back - in the meantime, keep writing!
