We’re delighted to announce the winners and highly commended
poems for the inaugural Charm Poetry Competition.
The first prize of £100 was awarded to Andrew Wilson for ‘Once upon a Llama’, with second prize of £50 going
to Victoria Sherratt for ‘Sound Supermarket’, and the third prize of £25 to
John Ling for his poem ‘Anti-viral’.
In addition, six poems were highly commended.
You can find out more about the prize-winning poets, and the
three prize-winning poems here.
We would like to thank all the poets who entered. You have
helped to prove our claim that poetry can be warm, whimsical, witty, and
word-playful. You can read the competition report here.
The Charm Poetry Competition will be back in the autumn. In
the meantime, keep writing!
